1. What makes your district so special?

The tension in the district of Lichtenberg results not only from its elongated shape, but also from the contrasts between the two ends. Thus, there are many green spaces in the far north while the city shows a very urban structure in the south.

2. Which green and sustainable places does our district have to offer?

Herzberge landscape conservation area in the center of the district. Wartenberger Feldmark. Several natural oases in the midst of concrete.

3. Which are the topics that we are most concerned with in the district?

In Lichtenberg, we are increasingly focusing on a network between environmental education contributors with their target groups. Our focus here is on schools, community shelters, district centers and youth recreational facilities. We pursue a holistic approach to NUK+N education and communicate this to the outside world on Environmental Education Day, which is organized at schools by the coordination office for nature and environmental education in Lichtenberg.
